New Zealand’s thriving poultry industry includes chicken, duck, and turkey but chicken is New Zealand’s favourite meat. According to the Poultry Industry Association, New Zealanders eat the equivalent of 20 chickens each per person per year.
Job overview
All New Zealand meat poultry is cage-free, raised either outdoors or in barns. Birds do not contain any hormones. The two types of meat chickens raised are Ross and Cobb.
